Recoup is seeking to recruit an experienced and creative individual to assist in clinical activities. This position reports directly to Recoup’s Clinical Head of Department, with responsibility for leading the development and execution of a transformational Clinical Agenda focused on providing the diagnosis and psychological treatment of mental, behavioral, and emotional illnesses. To achieve this vision, Recoup emphasizes involving patients and other key stakeholders in all aspects of the clinical process.

Job Specifications
We are looking for a physician assistant to be responsible for examining patients, prescribing medicines, and ordering diagnostic tests. The physician assistant will work under the supervision of the physician or surgeon but may work independently, consulting with physicians when necessary.
You should have experience in all areas of medicine but may specialize in an area such as psychiatry, pediatrics, dermatology, or surgery.

To be a successful physician assistant, you should be formally educated to examine patients, diagnose injuries and illnesses, and provide treatment. You should demonstrate strong attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and responsibilities

Coordinating appointments and surgery bookings of the Physician.

Taking a detailed medical history from the patient.
-
Performing an initial physical examination.

Completing documentation of patient medical records, including questionnaires, prior investigations, clinical photos, videos and other relevant outcome measures during treatment.

Ordering diagnostic tests, getting the Physician’s input and documenting the results in the patient’s medical records.

Educating and counseling patients and their families, including lifestyle changes, through handouts and other media.

Preparing and providing quotations for treatment expenses to the patient.

Obtaining informed consent for surgeries and procedures.
-
Stitching wounds, dressing wounds, removing sutures, assisting in surgeries and other procedures, and administering immunizations.

Conducting or participating in outreach programs, making house calls, and visiting other clinics and nursing homes to treat patients.

Reviewing and maintaining patients' medical histories and records and recording patients' progress.

Preparing discharge summaries.

Providing documentation for insurance companies.

Researching the latest treatments, innovations, advances, and trends in the medical industry.

Coordinating with the research team to collect data for research studies and participating in the research studies.

Participating in in-house professional training programs.

Skills & Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in physician assistant education.
-
Clinical work experience of at least one year is preferred.
-
Strong analytical and technical skills.
-
Detail-oriented with good problem-solving skills.
-
Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Fluency in spoken and written English. Working knowledge of several Indian languages is preferable, especially Hindi and Kannada.

The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.
-
Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
