Recoup is seeking to recruit an experienced and creative individual to assist in clinical activities. This position reports directly to Recoup’s Clinical Head of Department, with responsibility for leading the development and execution of a transformational Clinical Agenda focused on providing the diagnosis and psychological treatment of mental, behavioral, and emotional illnesses. To achieve this vision, Recoup emphasizes involving patients and other key stakeholders in all aspects of the clinical process.

Job Specifications
Functional Medicine Physician is a vital role within the Recoup Clinical Practice team. We dream big and build our programs to match. You will be required to use a holistic approach to treat the underlying causes of disease, rather than just treating symptoms and you will provide help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team.
You will be required to work in both inpatient and outpatient situations and can perform independently or as part of a treatment team. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff, and multidisciplinary health care team. This includes:

Developing holistic treatment plans for diseases.

Assessing patients and diagnosing illnesses.

Prescribing medications, hormones, and functional medicine treatments.

Facilitating recovery plans and health maintenance routines.
-
Performing medical procedures as per advised treatment.

Referring patients to specialists in case of escalations.

Duties and responsibilities
​​

Performing a methodical and thorough evaluation according to the functional medicine approach to assess and document the patient's health status, including physical exams, lab tests, and diagnostic imaging studies

Creating treatment plans based on the results of diagnostic tests and patient histories and based on patient needs and goals.

Providing patients with information about their condition and treatment options to make informed decisions about their health care.

Counseling patients about lifestyle changes that can improve their health, such as nutrition, physical activity, sleep hygiene, smoking cessation, stopping substance use, improving relationships and stress management.

Coordinating care with other medical professionals involved in the patient’s treatment plan.

Researching chronic diseases or treatments from a functional medicine perspective.

Participating in in-house professional training programs.
-
Preparing and conducting professional training programs in functional and lifestyle medicine with a team of trainers.

Skills & Qualifications
​​

You should hold at least a master's level degree in a health-related field from an accredited university. The preferable specializations are family medicine, internal medicine, or physical medicine and rehabilitation.

Certification in Lifestyle Medicine or Functional Medicine from a reputed organization.

Registration in the relevant professional council in India (as applicable).

At least 3 years of clinical experience in Lifestyle Medicine or Functional Medicine is preferred.

You are good at solving problems efficiently to find the root cause of a patient’s symptoms.

Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Fluency in spoken and written English. Working knowledge of several Indian languages is preferable, especially Hindi and Kannada.

The ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy.

Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
